Our duo turned 3!

Happy 3rd birthday to the most handsome set of twins in the world!
Though they came into the world together they couldn't be more different!!
But best friends without a doubt.
I thank God for His most abundant gifts in both my 
Thaddeus Drew and Shepherd Kingston.
Nothing but love today (and that's truly saying something because one of them took a diaper-less dump in his sleeper....:/)

We celebrated our 3 year old TWINS with burgers and fries at 5 guys and then had some great fun at Booneshoft Children's Museum. 
It was an awesome afternoon! 
I'll admit, 3+ years ago I was terrified when the doc said "look, there's 2!" 
But our lives would be seriously lacking without 2 of the coolest boys in the world.

Per their request, I made cupcakes to celebrate the twins birthday.

Nana and Pop-Pop came over to enjoy, and also to give us opportunity to take a random impromptu family picture.

I love our breakfast nook.  

It's perfect for our tiny dining room/kitchen area. :)

Out of Love

On this Valentines Day I showed my love to 4 of my children by sterilizing their oldest brother...

Cale came home from school and said someone threw up at his Valentines Day party.
WITHOUT hesitation I almost yelled - Wash Your Hands!!
But upon viewing his less-than-stellar job I said, "...lets do it once again."
Then made him put on hand sanitizer.
....thinking more about it I said - "Ya know what, Cale? Strip. Lets wash these clothes...
...And your coat.
...and ya know what else? Get in the bath tub...and scrub." 

My bewildered 6 old looked at me with confused eyes and says: 
"All this damage control for me being 12 feet from someone throwing up." 
Oh, YES!! 

...I sterilize because I love my kids.

negotiation

Thad negotiating nap time...
 
me: Let's go buddy...time for a nap.
Thad: No! Time to play!
me: Sorry pal, we already played and ate, now time to take a nap.
Thad: no....how bout in 2 weeks?
(gave him 2 minutes because that was funny)
me: alright, it's really time.
Thad: No! put baby Neve down for a nap.
me: Baby Neve already napped, she's up now. It's your turn.
Thad: wait....(crying)! ....I have monies!!! (goes searching in the couch cushion)

I gave him another 2 minutes for that.
Love this kid. 
He's actually my best napper.

Who cares what teams are playing when you've got this kind of entertainment right up close.
Rub a dub, dub.
I think 5 may be a bit too many for this tub... ;)

I don't wanna clean up...
I've got too many kids...
there's a million things cars and blocks and trains I did not play with!
First bikes and trains then video games...

A million toys...THERE IS!  GEE WHIZ!!
I don't wanna clean up...but baby if I did,
My kiddies couldn't yell "HEY, look what I did!!"

(now...to just get them to do that....voluntarily)


Until then, gosh.......they're so cute I guess I'll help them out.
